This is a long post with lots of pictures so please bear with us!!
I was outside on the porch watching for Blue, Possums and
wondering where my travels might take me.
I thought I'd step into the yard to see better. No luck. No Blue and no Possums.
Nothing was happening outside so I continued to wait.
I came inside and couldn't believe it. While I was out, mom had put that stupid paw print blanket on my couch again and lined up some of my toys! I was stunned!
Unbelievable!! She was trying to trick me into liking that blanket!
I sniffed at everything and then.......
I was so off of my couch and into the floor!
It was horrible. I sneezed, I scratched, I rolled around on the carpet. Mom decided that maybe I'm actually allergic to the blanket. It sure took her long enough!
I'm sitting here on my stoop in a daze. Mom is in the other room grabbing other blankets (on her chairs and couch) and calling Auntie Gwen.
Thank you Auntie Gwen!!! I finally have nice blankets under my little head! I was so relieved.
I even heard mom talking about a few more that she is getting for me and it's the kind that I love.
Comfort at last!! The waiting and ignoring mom paid off. I think she might really love me! I hope she doesn't pull another stunt like that one. I think she probably has learned her lesson!

Blankets are the best. My sister, Stanzie likes to burrow under them and I like to nibble them. But when it comes to napping, you have to have em'!

Dear Holly, I'm so glad you've got a new blanket at last. It looks so comfy and beautiful too. I love your toys on the couch as well, they look so interesting. I wish I could have so many toys like you, may be I should drop by to visit you and play with you one day but my mom said we live too far away from you. Sigh!!!

Your welcome, Holly! I'm glad that Darcie had an extra blankey that she could give you. We're delighted that you are now happy again and not running away from home! We would miss you too much! Your mama certainly does love you and I'm quite sure that she is relieved that you are happy again. Enjoy the blankey.

Oh Holly, we sure are glad you finally got a blanket that you like and that your aren't allergic to. Sure makes life easier, doesn't it. That is a pretty blanket. Have yourself a great nap now.

Mom crocheted a afghan a few weeks ago. I will not get within 5' of it either. MOL I like what I like and I don't like change.

OMD, that is the best story, Holly - you are one very smart pup - you knew all along that the new blanket just wasn't for you. Glad Mom finally figured it out. The best part is that now you don't have to leave home AND you know how much Mom really loves you.

Soft blankets are such a mainstay in a dog's life. I am so happy you got one that fits just right. You have to say, your human works very hard to make sure you get just what you desire. You have a GREAT home Holly - snuggle your human for finally getting the right blanket lol.
Sometimes it takes a little while for our 'beans to get the hint. We shouldn't hold it against them - they are so imPURRfect.
FINALLY!! Takes our peeps awhile to figure out stuffs!! Glad that you will be getting some new blankets that you will like!! Good for you Holly!
