Have a Wonderful Weekend!

I'm still trying to get better and mom picked up some kind of virus or the flu....she's not sure what it is but she said she feels bad.  That's probably true since she keeps holding her head in her hands moaning about a headache.  I'm trying to be a good pup and stay out of trouble and I really didn't mean to make a dash up the steps today and go into the cat's room and then run into the other room and growl at her.  I guess we are both feeling under the weather. 

Speaking of weather, it's even colder now than it has been all winter.  This winter seems to just be going on an on with cold, windy and bitterly cold temperatures.  Mom isn't a fan of cold weather.  I'm okay with it but I have a lot of fur and playing in the backyard by myself gets boring unless Blue is outside with me to run with up and down the fence line.  You should see the lack of grass on both sides now!  Nothing but dirt and mud!

We're going to show some pictures from last summer in hopes of thinking warm weather!  These pictures were probably seen by a lot of you but it was a fun trip on the Blue Ridge Parkway on July 2, 2010.  We look forward to more trips!

Here is the field with "invisible" donkeys!!  Mom finally found a picture with some living creatures!  They are so far away and these pictures were taken with the old camera but one looks like a mule and the other one is just too hard to make out...but there are more of them!  Finding this picture was an accident...it just happened to be on a screensaver which mom saw last night. 

Of course I'm always happy on the rock here.  It's my very favorite place to be.  I usually call it Hollyrocks but it really belongs to the U.S. Department of Park Services so we thank them for letting us have the privilege to come up here and enjoy nature!  We only live about five minutes from the entrance to the Parkway so we are definitely fortunate to be able to get away from the city!

Those wonderful summer days.

That's the day we stopped at Trail's Cabin and decided we would love to live there.

Thinking back to those wonderful sunny days and the fun we had and hope to have again!

That's the day we ended up at Mabry's Mill.  It was very crowded being so close to July 4th!

We love the Blue Ridge Parkway!  We hope to be back there soon!!
