Update on Holly

We were not able to get to the vet's office on Monday due to the weather here but they did call us after they received the report from the ER vet on Christmas Eve.   The vet seems to think it is cherry eye but mom is not sure since her other dogs had it and it didn't get better like mine has.  She talked to the vet's assistant and made an appointment for me in a few days or it will be sooner if my eyes get worse again.  Right now, my eyes seem to look much better.

On the good side, our vet does not treat this condition immediately with surgery but tries to cure it with anti-inflammatory meds first.   That is great news because I hate to see mom lying in the floor again passed out! 

Someone (DenofWolves) left a comment that asked about Blue and asked if he was taken care of and kept inside.  We tried to email the person but not sure it went through since it has no profile but if they are reading this, let us assure them that Blue is probably as spoiled as I am!  Blue is my buddy and comes out to take care of business and run with me but stays inside the rest of the time.  He goes riding in the Jeep with his pawrents lots of time too.   Actually Blue's pawrents put up a high fence for the yard and adjourning field just for him to run in and stay safe.  He's a beauty and shiny black plus growing really fast!  He's only about six months old now and still growing.  He waits at the fence for me and when I'm outside, I wait for him if he's not out yet.  I have no idea why I started growling yesterday unless it was the sight of all of the snow plus my eye problem.  We were running and playing that evening like old times. 

We thank everyone for the prayers, purrs, woos and crossing of the paws and hoofs....thank you all so very much!   We will find out in a few days or less what is going to happen or what is really wrong.  For all I know, I might have walked into the wall like George the Lad said he did!!  If it is "Cherry Eye", mom thinks it's the strangest case she has ever seen but she's not a vet.  We'll find out when we see our vet.  Until then, many thanks for the concern and prayers.  It means very much to us!
