We had a rather different Christmas Eve. this year. Mom had to call Auntie Gwen to come and take me and mom to the emergency vet because of my eyes. Mom was so upset that she was shaking and was afraid to try and drive. We thank Auntie Gwen so much once again for her love and help to us. Mom said if she had driven, we would probably have wrecked because she was so upset. I have to have surgery when I can get to my own vet this coming week. Not exactly what anyone had planned but things happen when you least expect it and usually at the worst possible time like nights and holidays.
I opened my presents and went outside in the snow earlier. Mom worries so much. I wish she would be more like a dog, cat, bird, horse, donkey, goat or any kind of animal! These humans of ours...they just worry way too much. I think my mom is in overdrive on this worry part!
Here's some pictures of Christmas Eve. and Christmas Day. (I opened a bone that Auntie Gwen gave me....ate the paper and all and refused to give it back to mom until I was finished). My eye might look bad but that bone and paper sure really tasted so good! I left a little of the bow and ribbon for mom to eat just in case she got hungry.
This was before the eye injury/problems or whatever has happened. I hope I don't have to wear glasses yet. I'm too young. I wonder if they will put a pirate patch over my eye and I can look like Pirate Holly! I heard that I might have to wear the Cone of Shame after the surgery. Oh no! I think this might just be "Pete's" fault somehow!
Trying to nap without success.
This was the bone!! It was delicious along with the paper.
Mom only took about 200 pictures of me opening and chewing this bone.
No idea what I'm doing here. My left eye damage shows somewhat in the picture but you have to look really hard to see it.
I still hadn't gotten it open but refused to let mom touch it. I'm a bad dog sometimes especially when it comes to bones. I sure hope mom doesn't trade me in for another dog while I'm at the vet for surgery.
Early Christmas morning.
Back inside with muddy paws yet again.
Another present from Auntie Gwen!
It's a Penquin!!!
This is from mom...it's my own Bonebook so I can keep in touch with my friends. I hope I can take it to the vet with me for the surgery.
Keeping it close to me for contact with everyone.
A pig! I have already bit his hair off.
Programming my Bonebook for my friends.
This was earlier and is nothing compared to right now. The weather channel just says furries...they apparently haven't been here to see what is falling and it's coming down fast too.
Opening another present.
Worn out and keeping my bonebook, penquin, pig and mini sibe close to me.
We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!
Lots of Love to All!!!

Surgery? Yuck. We hope your eye is better afterwards--but a pirate patch would look cool.

Pees - you can keep the snow, but would you be interested in -26 temps.
Hi Holly,
I am so sorry about your eye troubles. That sounds just awful and very scary for your mom. If you do have to wear a cone, I am sure you will still look very pretty!
It looks like you still got some wonderful pressies and managed to enjoy Christmas!
Your pal, Pip

Now why did you go and mess up your eye like that? Your Mom has had enough problems with "Pete" and the cable guys and the phone guys and the alarm guys and now she has to worry about you too. I just better hurry and get up there to take care of you. Better yet...you can come down here where there isn't any snow.
Love,
Rusty
PeeEss...Paws crossed that all will be good after your visit to the vet tomorrow.
Oh my Cod Holly what happened? I will purr really hard that it is nothing serious! Mom send hugs to your Mom, she says she knows how she feels.
You MUST be sure that your momma lets all of us know ASAP when she finds out the name of what is wrong with your eye and how it will be fixed. We are all so worried about you, Holly.
I hope your eyes are okay!! How scary!! You'll have to tweet your updates on your new BoneBerry! :)
