Day 19 with Customer Service at Cox

After many calls on Wednesday to Cox Communications about our phone number that was disconnected, we went up the chain of command just a little bit. It took almost all day but we finally got a "supervisor" of some kind.  We have found that these customer service people at Cox do not want to give you their last name and who they are transferring you to until they talk to that person first.  The reason we didn't get our old phone number back is the customer representative on Monday "forgot" to give it to the third party person!  That makes it okay doesn't it!  On top of that, we get almost 20 dollars off of our bill for our trouble that is now 19 days and counting.  The records show that on Friday we might get the other number back.  MIGHT.   Unless they "forget" again.   Of course all of our voice mails have been destroyed and we have no way of knowing who called us but hey, that's great.  Hey Pete....isn't it great?    We realize they are not doing well in customer satisfaction.  Perhaps they should try spending more of the advertisement monies on customers?   Just sayin...

While ago mom saw Pete with Cox doing a commerical and then Michael Vick coming in right behind him.  I thought she was going to kick the TV out the window.  Really.   Seriously, there are a few good workers at Cox..the ones that are out on the street and coming in the houses wiring everything and doing the hard work.   Mom told the supervisor she wanted to commend the good one we had and wishes that they were all like him...it would be a much better company.  The ones in customer service leave a lot to be desired.   HEY PETE....Want to do a commercial with us yet????????

So that's the reason that it didn't go through today...the customer representative just "forgot" right after talking to mom on Monday.  Twenty dollars off is just great.   Mom however isn't finished yet.

On to more important things like pictures of me...not that I'm looking very happy in these pictures.  I think I'm picking up the vibes in the house or something.    We have to keep in mind that Cox is just one of two companies in this area.  Mom googled the company and  apparently there are thousands of people complaining online so we are really not important to them or Pete in his snazzy green sweater.  We even found some on YouTube complaining.   What a company.  We have learned a lot about "porting" the number though....and although they said it takes two days, the SCC says it only takes one business day...but hey....who are we to mess with Cox.  Not to mention Pete.  If we disappear off of the radar, it's because of Cox...they have our Internet too.   Kind of like being stuck...that's why we are doing this post early in case they decide to "drop" us like they did the phone number we used to have!

Remember, if you switch phone carriers to Cox or probably anybody , be sure and have your number "ported" first or they will take it away and keep it from you.    If you see Pete, wave at him for us......



Do I look happy?  I am taking care of my "Mini Thunder" though!  I love him!


I think I'm still wearing my mean look again.  It's for Pete.


I'm thinking about something here.  Can't say...but you can probably guess.

Geesh, we are sorry to hear about all your trouble with your phone.

I must say...it sounds like you are in South AFrica! BOL!!! Here in this country we would have started up our own business by now, BOL! (in the time you have waited)! It's common practice here (but there are a few reasonable business people too, I should point out!)
Anyway, I do hope your troubles dissipate, dear friend and that there will be smiles for Christmas!

I think you should chase "Pete" all through town. Mummy had a similar problem with a company called BT so she knows how frustrated your poor mummy must be. Mummy finds it helps to write a really steaming email to them telling them exactly how it is. Then, cause its normally a bit rude, she deletes it. She says it makes her feel better. Give your mummy a big snuggle from us xx

We actually did some google searching for you yesterday and were astounded at the number of complaints against the company in your area. Good for you for getting to that supervisor. Be sure to ask for his/her name and how to reach them directly AND to whom they report, name and number. You need to just keep going higher and higher. Ask who is the regional commander-in-chief. Write him a letter. Scream and holler. $20 ???? Shame on them. We are as mad as Holly is.

I don't think there is anything worse than customer service with internet, phone or cable tv when there is a change or a problem. What is the deal with that? I feel so bad that you have to go through all of this! FRUSTRATING!

Does this horrible phone company have an email?? See if you can find out and we can all send emails about their horrible service. I would love to do that. That is just horrible the way they are treating you.
Poor Holly, we are sorry things just aren't good at your house.

Seems like you guys have a lot of problems with services. I don't blame you for going up the chain of command. Glad they are at least doing something for the time they are making you waste.
