Checking the bridge to make sure it was safe and sturdy.
Looking both ways just to make sure.
Coming down the HollyRustyRocks. Now I remember why we didn't go today. It is hot!
The little house again. I just love it's location with the view!
Mom just loves it. I think she would like to move there!
The pond! This is where I really did almost pull mom in. Weird noises coming from that pond.
Checking out the steps.
A different view of Mabry Mill. It is really nice.
A different part of the Mill.
Mabry Mill
Mom always takes pictures of the signs so she will know where we went!
Saying bye for now!
(Back when mom was in high school....a hundred years ago...she was asked by her shorthand teacher what she "really" wanted to do in life because she was failing that subject. Mom told the teacher the truth. She wanted to be a Forest Ranger. The teacher threw her out of the class for that day and made her stand in the hall because women were not supposed to be Forest Rangers! The teacher thought that mom was being sarcastic. She was not...she was telling the truth). She is glad that things have changed! Mom isn't a Forest Ranger but she still loves to dream. That is one reason why we go for rides on the Blue Ridge Parkway all of the time. She loves the Parkway and she loves the forest and the country. We both do.
Have a great day!
Lots of love!!!

I want to move there and I want to move there NOW!!! Pretty soon all of our really nice "views" will be nothing more than a nice tropical beach with big tar balls all over it :o(
Our wedding will definitely have to be at the HollyRustyRocks and our reception can be at Mabry Mill.

We lived in NC for a while and loved our Blue Ridge Parkway trips.
Maybe we should travel east and walk the Appalachian Trail! (We have to wait for my knee to heal up!)
