What a Loud Day!

I guess I looked too happy about having peace and quiet here on Thursday.  To make up for it, mom had the cable company come to change her phone line.  Cheaper with more features.  Guess what?  It doesn't work anymore and has only been in the house for 6 hours.  Seems like it's not compatible yet with the alarm system.  Mom called them to run a test which was going good until the guy got her to set the alarm off.  OUCH.  That hurt everyone's ears.  The kitties went flying everywhere, I went under the table.  Lights came on up and down the street and the phone went dead.  She canceled the test thank goodness but then there was no phone service at all.  Yes...it's cheap all right.  It's great if you have a cell phone to use and don't want the alarm to work but it does go BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP every few minutes now because of the failure of the phone.  I think I'm sleeping outside tonight.  The kitties are nowhere to be found and mom....well she should have known better.   She's going to get the duct tape out again and tape it up where the noise is coming from or we will be up forever!

We have a new background thanks to Scout 'n Freyja's mom!!!   Mom logged on and saw it and got so excited!!  Thank you Mimi!!!   Mom just can't figure these things out at all.  She tries but fails.  She did fail art in school though!  Nobody failed art.  She did.  Actually she has been trying since the 90's on computers and still hasn't mastered it.  I'd say by now she might as well give up for good.

We just have some pictures from the past.  We hope everyone has a great weekend.  We hope the ADT box survives until the cable technician gets here.    Mom has two hammers already out and in position if needed.

We think this was posted before but it was so funny at the time.  Well...not funny for whoever walked up on the porch when Sam busted the glass out of the door!  That was mom's late husband's dog that he loved so much and all he could do was laugh after checking to make sure Sam wasn't cut.  He didn't really care about the beautiful beveled glass that was shattered....he cared about Sam.  Sam was fine and stuck his head out the hole in the door until it could  be fixed.  It made people look twice when passing by!
