Anyway, we got up this morning and mom fixed us all breakfast, got on the computer of course and then logged off. She knew that lots of chores needed to be done here so she packed our bag, got my leash and off we went to the Parkway!! Mom's way of getting out of chores. She needed to think because she had the Sibe on her mind for days and she knows she can't get it even if it's still available. Two years old and an escape artist. Mom can't run. She can't even walk fast. That would just be a sad situation for the beautiful Sibe. We hope he gets a great furever home because he sure is good looking. Mom has only looked at his picture about 50 times or more. No mom...you can't get him. She wishes she could but after the comments and what she read, she's just too old and slow for a Sibe. The final decision came after we went to the Parkway and got some pictures, came towards home and as we were coming through the Park area at the hospital, there was an older big dog trotting down the middle of the road. Mom freaked out as usual and tried to get him or her. The dog looked really old, had a collar on and was just walking along in the road. She tried and tried to get the dog. He went in a parking garage, came back out, she didn't get him yet again and he trotted off into another one. She went around the block for an hour or so and never could get him. We hope the owner's found him. She knew then that if she can't catch a rather old and slow dog, she sure couldn't catch an escape artist. We hope they both find their homes! We hope those possums go away forever.
Some pictures from today. She didn't make frames or anything to them because she was busy watching yet another true story horse movie that was great but made her teary eyed. Maybe she will do the chores tomorrow....and then again....maybe not!
Holly's Rock!!!! Finally!!!
The smell of my rock! I love it!
Back view.
Side view.
All that is left are some gold colours.
We went back to the Overlook with those invisible Donkeys! As you can see, they were still hiding.
We walked around, looked around but never saw any of them. We did see a nest in the big tree though now that the leaves are gone! Looking way down as we passed, we can see that the property goes really far down and there is a barn. If the people still have the Donkeys, we guess they are keeping them down there and away from the Overlook. Don't blame them a bit for that!
Me at the Overlook just looking around.
Leaving the Parkway and heading on home. We hope that lost dog got back to his home too. We sure tried to get him and pray that his owner's found him.
Thanks to everyone for their comments on yesterday's post!!! Mom is addicted to the blog and taking pictures and now she knows she really can't handle a Sibe as much as she loves them. If anyone cares about Possums, mom never did hit it....she can't throw at all! (She did try to hit it though but that didn't work). She got me inside and gave up.
Have a Great Day!
Lots of Love to All!!!

I so understand - I would take on so many more if possible, but we do what we can. ♥
Love your pics as always!
Maybe those donkeys were inside watching television.
We have possum here, but they are cute, furry and stay up in the trees.

A broom is very effective on a possum - just sweep it away and it will roll on off. Guess that only works if it's on your porch - not through a fence.

We don't like possums here either! Glad your mom tried to protect you from it!
Your mom is great for trying to help that old doggie, sure hope his owners find him.
We have possums in our yard, too! My mom is terrified of them and won't let me outside in the backyard at night. I have heard that they don't stay in one place, keep moving so just make there's no food source for them and I bet they move on.
Your pal, Pip
Dakota and TD once had a possum in the yard. It was playing dead but they weren't giving up. Mom thought it WAS dead and tried to get it on a shovel to move it outside the fence until daylight when she would dispose of it properly. She had the biggest fright when it jumped right off that shovel and scurried away.
We hope we didn't make you think you could never have a sibe. We just wanted to be sure you understand that we have our ways that are challenging. If this dog is already an escape artist, your work would be cut out for you. You could do it, we are sure, but you need to go in prepared.
Have a great week.

Hi My Sweet! I've been off the computer for a few days just trying to get some Thanksgiving stuff done. You know - I am the official taste tester around here. Hey....maybe your Mom would like a Shi-Tzu. Last week someone dumped 63 Shi-Tzus all ages, including newborns, on a dead end street on someone's lawn in the middle of the night in Hernando County. They will be put up for adoption after they're checked out by vets. Glad you got to visit "our rock" again.
Hugs and Licks,
Rusty
Donkeys, Possums and Dogs oh my!
I haven't met a possom before, but I did chase a coon up a tree though!!
Watch out, your mom might go on petfinder and find you a new sibling! Wouldn't that be fun, sounds like she has the doggie bug!!
I have never seen one but I know I would want to be friends with it....that's just the way I roll....
oh I hope that dog found his owners!

I'm worried for you, love. When I get back from Turkey I'll take care of those possums.
Yours,
Whew! That was one exciting day! I've seen a racoon in pawson but never a possum. They sure do looks skeery in pictures, though.
Please tell your mom thank you for trying to helps that doggie. I've noticed that sometimes when doggies get out, they don't want any help getting back in. My paws are crossed that he gots back home safe and sound.

Oh dear I bet your mum was panicking about that possum. Mum is strange because when she was in Australia she saw a possum and thought it was cute.. We undergatnd about the Sibe but if you made sure it was always on a lead would it not work. Hugs GJ x
Our Mom wants to know what horse movie your Mom was watching. Thanks for looking for the donkeys again. We just know they are going to show up soon.
That bit about the possum was something. Possums are horrible to get rid of. They will not run away. We have had several here and they get on our porch and under the house.
Too bad about the old dog. Bet he went home.
Take care and have a great turkey week.
Mummy says that taking you out to play is far more important than doing chores. We've never seen a possum before, we don't have anything so exciting as that in our garden. We get foxes that come in the garden sometimes, but they don't come until its very dark and late.
We don't have possums over here, they sound like trouble makers, love your photos.
See yea George xxx
I hope that those possums don't come back to bother you anymore!
We need you to stay safe.

Oskar
I didn't know your mom was considering adopting a Sibe.. but then again I am reading my post backwards so maybe I will find that out in a few post down. haha.
Sure I hope the Sibe and the old dog are ok!
Glad you had a nice time today and sure you enjoy your rock, right?
Kisses and hugs
Lorenza
Possums are very annoying, we try to jump as high as we can but we can't reach them, Dad ususually gets rid of them using a water hose.
