These pictures were taken about two years ago. It is where mom used to go horseback riding years ago and at one point, she lived their for awhile. It is beautiful country and about 50 minutes from where we live. I love it there although I wasn't around when she lived there. Alex, Hobo, Phoenix and Trigger were there with mom back then. We hope you like the pictures..it was November 2008 and the colours were beautiful.
Who is that looking at us?
Rolling hills and beautiful mountains.
It is very quiet there.
Beautiful scenery everywhere.
Trees and bushes in abundance.
I just didn't know what to do with all of the open space.
No noises, no cars, no people hardly. Very quiet!
A nice pond.
Going up the road led to the fire trails on the mountains where mom loved to get lost on her horse. She didn't care because he always knew the way back to the barn.
Country roads.
The barn.
Tar....mom's horse's buddy. Tar must be about 25 years old now. Maybe older. He was always very gentle and slow going when he was only 3 years old. Walk a step...take a bite of a leaf. Stand and eat, move a step, stop for more leaves to eat. Tar was never in a hurry!
I was very happy to visit there. I was sniffing whatever had come through. Mom said that it was hard to tell what it could be. When she lived there, she saw about everything there including a bear and the largest woodpecker she had ever encountered. There was a turkey crossing, deer, bear, owls, frogs, birds of all kinds and just about everything the country has to offer. Best of all, it was quiet and peaceful and so beautiful!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Lots of Love to All!!

Well that was fun to see where Mom used to ride and some of the horses. Virginia is so pretty. Our Mom spend a lot of time up there and loved it. She went to college in Virginia back in the dark ages.
It looks like you are having a good time exploring Holly.
Hope you have a great Thanksgiving.
PS, Mom is not cooking a turkey or drinking whiskey. LOL
