We haven't been doing much around here at all. We are still waiting for the fence to go up next door for the black lab so Holly can have a playmate to run with! That little puppy is now about 3 times taller than Holly. She's going to be a very big dog!
I am going to share some old pictures of Phoenix, a cat that was in my life for 15 years. Phoenix was a very special kitty to me. I never knew where I would find her. She would be in boxes, bags, on top of plants, under the covers or guarding things and was very good at hiding. Phoenix was a cat that hated other cats but loved all dogs. Doing the 15 years I spent with her, I was not allowed by her to have another cat but I could get all of the dogs I wanted! It worked out well really!
Gwen and Darcie with Holly. Please get better Auntie Gwen and Darcie!!
How she manged to sit in such little baskets always did amaze me.
Standoff on the stairs with Phoenix and Hobo.
Coming out of the basket.
Phoenix's chair.
Phoenix in hiding.
Another reason I was never able to raise plants.
Where did she go?
If you want to see out the window, just sit on the plant.
Tickle time.
Remembering Phoenix. 1982-1997.
Have a Great Day!
Lots of love to All!

I, too, have a plant sitter! I also have a kitty that loves to eat African violet blossoms (they are edible). So, what did I do? I went to yard sales and bought a bunch of old bird cages, fixed them up and now I put my plants in the cages. Not only are the plants safe, they look really cool, like it planned them to be in there! I can set them on the floor or hang them or put them on an end table. L♥ve it!
