Mom went over to see her neighbor's house earlier and there went an opossum through the yard. Mom screamed (she does that sometimes). It ran away. She came home and her neighbor called to tell her she saw a few more coming across the street to our house. Mom is going outside with me to protect me in case it wants to play dead. Sure mom. Just who will protect who now? Is it possum or opossum anyway? Mom always has strange questions.
Swat teams, possums and things that crawl in the night! No sign today of the puppy yet again. We both hope that man didn't just give up and give the little guy away to someone else.
We hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!!!
This was me today resting and watching!
Have a Great Day!
Lots of Love to All!!!

It was a quiet weekend - just the opposite of yours from the sound of it!
Gosh, Holly - your weekend was sure more exciting than ours!

Ooh, we are delighted to hear that about your evil neighbors. Good job. And as for possums/opossums, we don't like those critters either, and they have nasty bites too. Mom googled the two words and found this:
"Yes and no. Throughout America the opossum is often referred to colloquially as a possum (similarly to the way some people refer to a potato as a tater or to a mosquito as a skeeter), but its actual name is opossum. When we refer to it by its colloquial name on this website, we usually add an apostrophe at the beginning to indicate the omission of the initial o: ’possum. But there really is an animal called a possum (without an initial o) that differs significantly from the North American opossum. The true possum is indigenous to Australia and looks quite unlike the American variety"
No matter to us what you call them, we just want them to stay out of our yard.
Nice pics of you today, Holly.

You have such an exciting life!

Wow, a ot happened from Tranquil Thursday to today.
Dad'ss first Husky (Harley) got/ killed three opossums in our yard; all we have been able to do is knock one off our fence but it landed on the other side.
We think that was his luck day.

That's too much excitement for us. We'd be barking at everything and Mom would get mad and put us all inside to quiet down.
Yikes! Why is it that you see the things you don't want to see and the puppy that you DO want to see is no where to be found???
Possums ... we even had one here on our fence a couple of times! It hissed at Monty and he got really excited about it ... but could reach it!
Oops!! Mom spelling is all mixed up! She meant Monty couldn't reach it... that possum!
Hey we hopes you get to see that puppy again!
Glad to hear that you had another exciting weekend!
Hi, Holly!
Sure you had an interesting weekend!
Glad those neighbors are gone!
I hope the puppy is still there!
Kisses and hugs

Your life is much more lively than Milly's and mine! We're lucky to race around the yard after wild bunnies! No possums in DC.
When I was in college a friend and I caught a possum. We put it in a crate for a few hours, and then released it again, after feeding it, of course. Kind of neat to see one of those gross critters up close and personal!
Glad to hear the bad people are going away!
