Another drive

Mom said that we both had to get out of the house because we had bad biorhythms or something like that.    She said I had enough rest and she had enough of the house and the city and we were getting out of this place.  Off we went.  I thought we were going to the Parkway as usual.  I was wrong.  She was in some kind of crazy mood and headed out the Interstate at about 100 miles an hour or maybe not that fast but she was moving along.  We headed north.  I told her not to get off at any exits because she would get lost.  She got off.  So here we are flying up and down mountain roads going where?   I wasn't sure.   We passed some place called Eagle Rock and a big river called the James River.  I wanted to stop but she kept going.   I think we ended up close to Lexington, Va. and she finally turned around because of a gas crisis or lack of gas.   So here we are flying back down another road toward....no idea!   I think she should have been a truck driver.   She sure can go fast on big roads and narrow roads not to mention curvy roads.  She decided at the last minute to go to Carvins Cove again where it's pretty and peaceful.  It was very hot but windy and I was very glad to get out of the Jeep.

You might not see it well but this was part of the James River that I wanted to see.  She flew on by it.

Carvins Cove.

This is the Cove.  There is no swimming allowed but it is pretty.

I'm on one of the docks checking things out.

Another view.

People can fish and go boating, hiking, horseback riding and biking.

Yet another view.

I'm trying to take in all of the scenery while mom is talking to some officer there.
She knew him from a thousand years ago.  I said she was really old.

This is where we ended up sitting for a long time.

I was trying to look nice for the officer.  I barked at him though.  Mom made me stop.

Mom really takes lots of pictures.

I was looking at the water again and wishing we could live here.
We were gone for about six hours or more and now I'm tired again!
I wonder if they would hire me to help them.  I really love it!  I could do doggy detail.

Have a great day!
Lots of love!!!

So that's where you were all day long. I tried calling you on your telephone but I guess you didn't take it along. Or you were just having too much fun flying down the road to answer my call.:o(

Maybe we can build a little doggie house to live in near that river. That way I could swim everyday like I do in the pool at home. Sure does look like a nice place to live!

Love,
Rusty

That's beautiful! How come there's no swimming in that cove? It looks like the perfect spot!
My mom said she used to go waterskiing in the James River when she was a biped puppy. I think water-dinosaurs pulled her around. Ha roo roo roo!
