A Very Special Day!

Mom is acting strange.   I know...that's nothing really new to me or perhaps you!   She went to the grocery store this morning and came back with a new toy for me.  She then packed our bags and said that we were going on a special trip to some place I had never been before!!!   That is just so unlike her!!  Wonder if she is getting ready to run away from home!!
We finally got there.  The place is actually out of this city and in another county but owned by the city.  Beats me.   She said she had been there many times in her life but it has totally changed.  Actually it is beautiful!!

Seeing the water was a little scary at first but I finally calmed down.   Peoples can fish, they can boat, hike, picnic (where is the food mom?).  The only thing you can't do is swim because it's the water for the city, counties, etc.,  for everyone to drink.  Okay, I think I understand that part although I had no intention of swimming!!   Rusty will have to teach me.

Here's some pictures of the HollyCove...oops...sorry.....Carvins Cove.  If I call it by my name, the city might bill me!

Mom was happy.  This was not there hundreds of years ago!!!  (I told you she was old!)

Checking out the bench.  Mom loves to sit down!

Not sure what was up on the railing but it smelled interesting!  I told mom to stay back!

Mom thought this was another beautiful view!  The water was blue and green and very clear.

Notice in alot of pictures, I'm staying away from the water!

We didn't have a clue what that was on the shore!

Moving along the shoreline.   I'm still not sure about swimming.  I was glad they had a rule against it!

I think I like it here.  Good thing that mom paid for a year's worth of visits!!

Mom thought this was really pretty.  I'm not even in the picutre again!

Looking down...I think I see a little tiny fish!

We came home hours later and mom and myself were a little tired.  It was an exciting day to go somewhere new.  I'm still not sure about getting in water!   I might sink!

Have a wonderful day!!!!!!

Good morning my little hugable HollyBear! Of course I will teach you how to swim. I'm a really good swimmer. Mom sat and watched me swim laps in the pool for almost 45 minutes one time. If you can get here, I think we will just float on the raft together for a while so you get used to the water before I teach you to swim. By the way, I need to you lick my paw for me. I stepped on something sharp in the backyard this morning and it hurts a little bit. I think it was a weed with pickers on the end of it. OUCH! Mom is going out in a little while to find that nasty weed and dig it out. I hope your Mom takes you to another really pretty place soon. HollyCove is beautiful. Tell her not to forget the food and the biscuits!

Love,
Rusty

You have a very nice boyfriend. And I love all of your pics. Being I am a Newfoundland I know a little something about water. If you would like me to help you out, just let me know....

What a great place you and your Mom visited! We have never been near any water like that. Mom says we have enough water in our yard now with all the rain we are having.

Rusty is so cute and so sweet - bet you two will have so much fun together in his pool.

Have a great weekend.

Hey Holly. My mama showed me those pictures from your trip to the Cove. I've never been there but is sure does look pretty. Mama said we could go there with you sometime since we are your bestest furiends. You could show me your new place and I could smell all the new smells! I'll bet I could teach you to swim. I like the water. I really liked the ocean. That's a BIG water! Bet you'd really be scared of that but I'd protect! Love, Darcie

Wow, sure is pretty there. That water is beautiful. Only water we really get to see is at Lake Erie and it is so muddy and icky.
